The Waterfalls July 4th Celebration

Waterfalls Event Center

The Waterfalls in Farragut will host a Fourth of July Celebration on Saturday, July 4. Activities begin at 2:00 pm with a bounce house, cornhole tournament, concessions, food, snow cones, and adult beverages. Live music by a resurgent Union County Band starts at 6:30 pm, followed by fireworks at dark and a dance party. Wicked Sips will be on-site beginning at 4:00 pm. Everyone is welcome.

Snowball Mountain Challenge Vacation Bible School

Snowball Mountain Challenge Vacation Bible School will be held July 6th through 10th from 5:30-8:30 pm at Cornerstone Fellowship Church, 1212 Peppertree Drive in Shenandoah. Open to children who have completed Kindergarten through 6th grade. Activities include Bible lessons, crafts, music, games, and snacks. Registration information is available on the event flyer.

The Day the Crayons Quit summer theater camp for kids

Wilson Performing Arts Center

The Wilson Arts Center will host The Day the Crayons Quit Summer Theatre Camp for children ages 6 to 12, July 6th through 10th from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Campers will help write the script, design costumes and props, and perform an original production inspired by the popular children's book. A public performance will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, July 10th. The cost is $175. The Wilson Arts Center is located at 300 Commerce Drive in Red Oak. National Honor Society Scholarship Blood Drive

Shenandoah High School National Honor Society will host its Scholarship Blood Drive on Monday, July 6th, from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm in the Shenandoah High School Gymnasium. Help save lives by donating blood and receive a classic American Red Cross × Looney Tunes T-shirt while supplies last. Appointments are encouraged and can be scheduled at RedCross.org.

Ladies Golf League 2nd Session Begins

Shenandoah Community Golf Course

Ladies Golf League – 2nd Session begins Tuesday, July 7th at the City of Shenandoah Golf Course. The six-week league runs through August 11th with 6:00 pm tee times each Tuesday. Teams of two will compete in a scramble format. Cost is $45 for members and $90 for non-members. Golf carts are available to rent.

It is a wonderful way to begin the evening before the Independence Day fireworks.

New Beginnings Vacation Bible School

New Beginnings Church is inviting area children to kick off summer with Beach Break, two special evenings of games, worship, snacks, and fun on June 3 and June 10 at 6:45 PM. Weekly VBS sessions will begin in mid-June and continue throughout the summer on Wednesday evenings.
